Hello, my name is Zhulian Iliev, and I am Production Manager at SoftGroup. I have been part of the company for almost 7 years. For that period, I grew from an automation engineer to a production manager. Working on all projects that require automation engineering solutions my experience here is focused on serialization and aggregation requirements and solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
Is there a typical day or week at SoftGroup?
Every working day starts with a short daily meeting designed to let the team plan out its work for the day and identify any obstacles that could impact that work.
Every week we have a sprint planning meeting. The purpose of sprint planning is to define what can be delivered in the sprint and how that work will be achieved.
Tell us a bit more about your role within the company…
As production manager I plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes so that products are delivered on time. I make sure goods and services are produced safely and cost-effectively, meeting the required quality standards.
What is the most challenging part as a Production Manager?
The most challenging part for me is gaining some and balancing all the skills that are obligatory for my position.

What initially motivated you to join SoftGroup?
Initially there were three reasons:

- Company vision and values
How did you find having to work from home instead of the office? Would you explore this opportunity in the future?
In terms of planning and coordinating is good to work from home because you don’t lose time in traffic. The negative part is that when you are at home you can`t be all day focused and you mix home obligations with work obligations.
For me, it is good to separate personal and professional responsibilities, and the best way to do that is to work from the office.
What do you think about the SoftGroup brand new office space?
I have been in the office only for couple of days, but I find it cozy and comfortable.
