The Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BIS) together with GS1 Bulgaria and SoftGroup AD are organizing a second information session on the topic “Digital Product Passport “, which will be held hybridly on October 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in Hall A, Iskar Street 9, 1058 Sofia.

The New in the Agenda: A demo version of the Digital Product Passport

 

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) kit is for providing in digital form information about the characteristics and environmental sustainability of products. You need to help consumers and businesses use information to make choices when purchasing goods, facilitate repair and recycling, and improve transparency regarding the life-cycle impact of products on the environment. The challenge is for all users from raw material and component suppliers, manufacturers, product repair and recycling companies.

 

Over 30 categories of goods that are available on the EU market are covered by the DPP requirements. These categories include but are not limited to batteries, textiles and apparel, furniture, electronics, building materials, toys, metals and aluminum, chemicals, and more.
